What Hem keeps, and what it doesn't.
Plain-language product copy about your work history — not a legal policy.
Kept
Structured work events only:
- Task started, completed, failed, or abandoned
- Decisions
- Corrections
- Tool summaries
- Interactions
Events are stored in Postgres and tied to your account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.
Not kept
Hem does not store raw transcripts or your full conversation content. There is nothing hidden in a backlog of chat text waiting to resurface.
Not done
Hem never injects history into your agent automatically. list_events runs only when you ask for it. Your agent does not quietly reach into your past.
Erasure
Use delete_task_usage to remove recorded events. You can erase any of them, or all of them.
Append-only
Nothing gets silently rewritten. You can erase history, but Hem does not edit what was recorded. What's written stays as it happened until you remove it.
Who it's for right now
Individual accounts. There is no shared or team history yet.
